Standard TIMS Software

TIMS Features & Benefits

TIMS is an integrated business management system featuring: Inventory Control, Sales Analysis, Point-of-Sale, Service Contract Administration, Payroll, General Ledger, and Accounting with Complete System Security. There are also optional modules available, including Service Manager, Electronic Claims Processing, Wireless Barcode and Auto Price Update to increase the capabilities of your system. TIMS combines the latest technology in state-of-the-art hardware and software to give you complete control.

1. Improved Inventory Control

TIMS Inventory Management Module provides effective management of your inventory with easy access to information about each inventory item including tracking number, serial number, cost, date received, accrued interest, status (i.e., available for sale, on loan, out for repair, returned for credit, etc.) and in what store or warehouse each items is located. TIMS can even identify the warehouse area in which the item can be found. Inventory reports help identify costly outdated inventory needing to be sold. Once sold, your interest, warehouse, and handling expenses are all reduced. In addition, there wil be fewer outdated items requiring discounting.
Some of the reports include Costed Inventory Report, 90 Day Inactivity Report, Items Not Available for Sale Report, Aged Detail Costed Report, and many others. With the information on these reports, you can manage your inventory levels and make greater profit.

2. Improved Inventory Accuracy

TIMS Allows the use of an optional Wireless Barcode solution, which greatly improves inventory accuracy and drastically reduces time spent handling inventory. Since Wireless Barcode operates in real time, using radio frequency 802.11 protocol, you simply scan barcodes for receiving, shipping, transfers and physical counting of inventory and TIMS is immediately updated with the changes. Also, by automatic comparison of a scan of the product to a scan of the Delivery Order, Wireless Barcode reduces the risk of pulling the wrong product for shipment.

3. Better Buying Decisions

Purchase Manager, which is part of the inventory module, collects updated sales activity of every model, displays the past 12 months sales performance and the quantity currently in stock. The quantity on hand is further broken down into the number of units available for sale and the quantity on order. Purchase Manager also determines the number of units needed for a 30-day supply. As items are ordered, the system keeps a running total of the units and models ordered, as well as the dollar amount and shipping points, if applicable. Having acess to up-to-date information gives you better control over inventory levels and helps you reduce emotional or factory pressured purchases.

4. Easy to Access Customer File

Customers can be instantly "looked up" by name or phone number. Increased sales will result from the readily available, targeted marketing program. You have both direct mail and telemarketing available as a cost-effective alternative to expensive newspaper, TV, or radio advertising. Customer files are never removed from TIMS.

5. Improved Control of Sales Commissions

TIMS impoves your control of commissioned sales through price and commission levels set by management. A salesperson is rewarded with a higher commission for selling at the recommended sell price and penalized for selling at a lower price. You will have greater gross profit margns and a notable reduction in discounting.
Management has access to sales reports that reveal the productivity of each salesperson. For example, one report quickly spotlights a salesperson who is discounting too much or selling too many loss leaders; another shows each salesperson's percent of total sales, as well as compares the performance of your sales staff and indicates who is making your company the most gross profit in dollars and the greatest gross profit percent. TIMS also makes it easy for salespeople to personally call to thank customers for their business and to assist with any problems or questions. In addition, the system produces computer generated thank you letters, which the salesperson can sign and send to the customer. Effectively managing your sales staff will result in increased sales, greater profits and much greater customer satisfaction.

6. Automation of Clerical Functions

Administrative costs are decreased and clerical productivity is increased withTIMS. The optional module, Auto Price Update (APU), saves thousands of entry hours by electronically updating your system with current manufacturer's pricing.
